Send & Print
Open the plan header actions
- Open Patients and select the patient.
- Open Plans.
- Select the plan you want to communicate.
- Use Send or Print in the plan header.
These actions are for patient communication. They do not change the clinical content of the plan by themselves.
Send the plan to the patient
Select Send to open the patient-facing sharing flow for the treatment plan.
The sharing dialog lets the team:
- copy the plan link directly;
- choose the patient's contact channel;
- choose a matching message template;
- preview the message before sending.
Review the recipient and message, then select Send Message to share the plan.
How the send flow works
The send flow depends on two things:
- the patient must have a usable contact channel;
- the clinic must have a share template for treatment plans.
Dentaltap filters the available templates based on the selected contact method, so the team sees only templates that fit that channel.
If you only need the link, use Copy Link without sending a message.
Print the plan
Select Print when you want the printable treatment-plan layout.
Use print when you need to:
- review the plan in a print-friendly format;
- save or print the plan as a handout;
- create a PDF version for the patient or clinic records.
When to use Send vs Print
Use Send when the patient should receive the plan through Dentaltap communication tools.
Use Print when the team needs a printable or PDF-style version first.
