Invoices Overview

Review a patient's Dentaltap invoices, statuses, balances, filters, and billing actions from one workspace.

What can you do in Dentaltap Invoices?

Short answer: Dentaltap Invoices lets teams review invoice status and balances, filter billing records, open invoice details, and check an invoice before taking action.

Open Invoices

  1. Open a patient.
  2. In the patient profile, select Invoices in the Records area.
  3. Review the invoice list and the status filter at the bottom of the list.

Invoice cards can show the total, invoice code, status, amount due, due date, branch, and assigned doctor. Related installment invoices may be grouped to make the schedule easier to review.

Use the invoice filters

Use the filter to focus the list on:

  • All Invoices;
  • Unpaid invoices, including expired, unpaid, and partially paid invoices;
  • Upcoming invoices that are pending;
  • Paid invoices;
  • Canceled invoices.

The filter changes which records are displayed; it does not change the invoice status.

Open an invoice

Select an invoice card to open its details. The detail workspace includes:

  • the invoice code and status;
  • total, tax, amount due, created date, and due date;
  • patient, branch, and doctor information;
  • the Installment and Document cards;
  • the Transactions section;
  • the billed Procedures section;
  • an invoice summary note.

Use Send, Print, or Edit when those actions are available. The more-actions menu can include signatures, branch and doctor changes, and deletion.

Check an invoice before acting

Confirm the patient, invoice code, billed items, due date, balance due, and current status before adding a payment or making an adjustment. A canceled invoice is read-only for most actions.
