Manage clinic users
Create and manage Dentaltap clinic users, roles, branches, permissions, and account access.
Clinic administrators manage team access from User Profiles.
Create a user
- Open Settings → Users → User Profiles.
- Select Create User.
- Enter the team member's profile and sign-in details.
- Choose the appropriate role.
- Assign branches, groups, and fees when needed.
- Enable account access when the user is ready to sign in.
- Select Create User.
Review the user's access in Access Rules before they begin working with patient or financial data.
Update or disable a user
Open the user profile to change their role, branches, profile details, or account status. Disable access when a team member should no longer sign in. Disabling is usually safer than deleting because historical appointments, procedures, payments, and reports may still reference that user.
Access checklist
- Give each person their own account.
- Assign the role that matches their responsibilities.
- Review access after a promotion, transfer, or branch change.
- Disable accounts promptly when access is no longer needed.
