Manage clinic users

Create and manage Dentaltap clinic users, roles, branches, permissions, and account access.

Clinic administrators manage team access from User Profiles.

Create a user

  1. Open Settings → Users → User Profiles.
  2. Select Create User.
  3. Enter the team member's profile and sign-in details.
  4. Choose the appropriate role.
  5. Assign branches, groups, and fees when needed.
  6. Enable account access when the user is ready to sign in.
  7. Select Create User.

Review the user's access in Access Rules before they begin working with patient or financial data.

Update or disable a user

Open the user profile to change their role, branches, profile details, or account status. Disable access when a team member should no longer sign in. Disabling is usually safer than deleting because historical appointments, procedures, payments, and reports may still reference that user.

Access checklist

  • Give each person their own account.
  • Assign the role that matches their responsibilities.
  • Review access after a promotion, transfer, or branch change.
  • Disable accounts promptly when access is no longer needed.
