Find Available Appointment Times

Search provider and room availability to find an open appointment time that matches the patient's needs.

Open Find Time

You can open Find Time:

  • from the visit creation form;
  • from the time-slot form;
  • by selecting a room or provider header in the calendar.

When opened from a room or provider header, that resource is used as the starting point for the search.

Search for availability

  1. Open Find Time.
  2. Choose the Rooms or Doctors tab.
  3. Select the room or provider to search.
  4. Choose the required duration.
  5. Review the available dates and times.
  6. Select a result.

Available duration choices include 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, and 300 minutes.

Each result includes the date, start time, provider, room, and matching availability. Selecting a result returns you to the original form with the schedule filled in.

Choose the right search mode

  • Use Rooms when the room is the limiting resource and any suitable provider can be considered.
  • Use Doctors when the patient needs a specific provider and any suitable room can be considered.

If both a specific room and provider are required, search by the more important resource first, then verify the other resource in the result and visit form.

If no time is available

Try:

  • a shorter or longer duration that matches the planned visit;
  • another room or provider;
  • a different date range;
  • checking whether the relevant time slot is enabled and not excluded by recurrence settings.

Find Time searches existing availability; it does not create it. If no result is available, create or update a time slot, or ask an administrator to review clinic hours and resource availability.

Use Find Time for a recurring slot

When editing or creating a time slot, Find Time can help choose an open starting time. After selecting the time, return to the slot form and configure recurrence, weekdays, and online-booking procedures before saving.
