Treatment History Procedures
Configuration links
Open Procedures
- Open a patient from the Patients panel.
- In the clinical history column, select Treatment. This is the application's name for the procedures section.
- Check the history toolbar to confirm whether you are viewing All History or a selected appointment.
The procedure list groups treatment by status, including Planned, In Progress, and Completed. Select a status to focus on that stage of care.
Create Procedure Record
- Click Add Treatment.
- Search for and choose the procedure.
- Add the tooth or teeth when the procedure requires them.
- Confirm the appointment, date, responsible user, and other available details.
- Save the treatment.
The available fields depend on the procedure configuration and your permissions. A procedure can be linked to the current appointment or recorded in the patient's broader history, depending on the context selected in the toolbar.
Review procedure information
Each treatment row can show information such as:
- procedure name and code;
- selected teeth or treatment area;
- responsible user;
- date;
- status;
- fee or financial indicator when your role can view it;
- lock or action indicators.
Use the row actions to open, edit, or review the procedure when those actions are available.
Use bulk actions
Select one or more procedures to reveal the bulk action bar. From there you can use actions such as:
- Set Status;
- Set Date;
- Set User;
- Delete.
Use bulk actions carefully. They can update multiple procedures at once and may be restricted for locked records.
Print the treatment history
Use the print action in the history toolbar to print the patient's procedures. If an appointment is selected, the printout can focus on that appointment; otherwise it can include the broader patient history.
Update Procedure Record
Use the record actions to update the procedure details, date, user, status, fee, or clinical context when your role allows it.
Delete Procedure Record
Delete a procedure only when it was entered by mistake or should not remain in the patient's record. Use bulk delete when several procedures need the same correction.
Treatment status and locking
Status is useful for separating planned work from work currently being delivered and completed work. A locked procedure or procedure group may not be editable. If an action is missing or disabled, ask a clinic administrator to check your permissions or the record's lock state.
